Adventure in the beautiful Auvergne with Dutch Minion

Go on an adventure with Dutch Minion in the breathtaking Auvergne region of France. This beautiful, historic region is named after the Gallic people, the Arverni. Over the centuries, the Auvergne was conquered by the Romans and then split into four sub-areas in the Middle Ages. Since 2016, these regions together form the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

The Auvergne is part of the Massif Central, a unique area with more than 400 extinct volcanoes. This not only offers breathtaking nature and rich history, but also challenging roads that are perfect for motorcyclists.

What does Dutch Minion offer?

With Dutch Minion you will enjoy an unforgettable stay at Domaine Barreaux. Here you will stay for five nights in charming rooms and make use of excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and cozy lounge rooms. Rita and Luc, the hospitable owners of Domaine Barreaux, provide a delicious breakfast and dinner every day. On the last evening, a culinary feast is prepared. Lunch is at your own expense, but you can take a tasty packed lunch with you on the last day for the return journey.

Our experienced guides will guide you through the Massif Central, exploring the area in all directions. During the rides there is also the opportunity to visit one of the many historic castles in the region, including a guided tour (entrance fees at your own expense). Don't worry: there is always an attendant with the motorcycles.

When and what are the costs?

This adventure will take place again in 2026. From August 31 to September 5, 2026. The costs for this adventure are: € 865,- per person. A maximum of 14 people can participate in this adventure. Currently there are still 8 spots available.

Included are:

  • If desired, a GPX route for the outward and return journey to Reims (F).
  • 5 nights. Please note: Single rooms are not available. However, the beds in the very spacious rooms are separated by features such as a mezzanine (space high up in the room), a partition, or a separate floor. If you really want a private room, please indicate this when you register. There is an additional charge for this. The extra fee is € 250,- for the entire midweek stay. Couples do have their own private room. 
  • Daily use of all available facilities. Like a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, the archery field, etc.
  • Daily guidance from Dutch Minion during the routes. We ride in two groups: a quiet/easier going group and a slightly more up tempo riding group. If desired, you can also ride on your own initiative. Various GPX files are available during the stay. Suitable for both TomTom and Garmin.
  • 5 times breakfast and dinner (including house drinks, lemonade, etc.). A so-called French dinner will be served on the last evening.
  • Lunch is at your own expense.
  • Collecting many beautiful stories and memories. 

Excluded:

  • Fuel for the motorcycle.
  • Entrance costs, for example, visiting a castle and/or museum.
  • Lunch on the way.
